Why not consider employment in the military with good retirement benefits too?

New height requirement for soldiers bared Cebu Sunstar

In an effort to accommodate soldier-applicants who are not blessed enough with height but are skilled and qualified, a new height standard of 5' for male and female was directed from a minimum height standard of 5'2" for female and 5'4" for male applicants.

Other mandatory requirements for soldier-applicants will remain as follows: natural born Filipino citizen; at least high school graduate with technical or special skills needed in the AFP; at least 18 years old on the actual start of training; they must not reach 23 years old by April 1, 2009; unmarried and without child; With good moral character; among others.

Army chief Lieutenant General Victor Ibrado is yet to approve the candidate soldier quota distribution for 2009.
